MOROCCO TOUR 6 ITINERARY
Day 1: Casablanca
Begin your tour of Morocco when you arrive at Casablanca Airport and are met by Berber Treasures Morocco Tours at the scheduled complimentary group airport transfer time and transferred to your Casablanca hotel. Afternoon city tour of Casablanca ’s principal sights. Overnight in Casablanca hotel.
Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez
Today your Berber Treasures Morocco Tours itinerary has a feast of marvellous UNESCO world heritage sites as you travel to Fez. Travelling first to the imperial city of Rabat. Here your Morocco group tours itinerary takes you to pretty Oudaya Kasbah, Hassan Tower and Mohammed V Mausoleum – magnificent examples of traditional Moroccan architecture and craftsmanship. Heading inland you travel to Meknes where you can enjoy exploring the sights of this UNESCO world heritage 17th century imperial city including the massive Bab el Manour gate, Henri es-Souani granaries and the Agdal Basin. Your Morocco tour heads next to the scenically set ancient Roman town of Volubilis – yet another UNESCO world heritage site. The extensive Roman ruins here include some remarkable Roman mosaics. Then your travel to Fez where your Morocco tours accommodation is one of the beautiful traditional Moroccan riads in Fez ‘s historic old medina. Overnight in Fez riad. (Breakfast)
Day 3: Fez
Full-day Fez city tour, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities, with your expert local Fez travel guide. Your heritage tour of Fez visits the UNESCO world heritage old walled medina, historical monuments (including Madrasa Bou Inania, the Kairaouine Mosque and Mihrab), the famous leather tanneries, exotic bazaars and souks (such as Souk Ain Allou (leather), Souk Attarine (spices), Souk au Henne (henna and kohl)), Fes el Jdid, the exterior of Dar el Makhzen (Royal Palace) including the enormous Marinid gate of Bab Dekakene, formerly the main entrance of the royal palace, the Jewish Mellah and late 16th century Borj Sud fortress (exterior). Return to your Fez riad. Overnight in Fez riad. (Breakfast)
Day 4: Fes – Middle Atlas Mountains – Midelt – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)
Your Morocco travel now turns south as you make your way via Ifrane, Azrou, Midelt and Erfoud south to Merzouga. Your Morocco group tours route crosses Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains and High Atlas Mountains before descending into the Moroccan desert where you follow the Ziz River to the beautiful Ziz Gorge, a desert oasis with vast date palm groves, through the desert town of Erfoud to Merzouga, a small desert Berber village situated on the edge of Morocco’s spectacular Sahara Desert sand dunes known as Erg Chebbi. Overnight in Merzouga area kasbah. (Breakfast & Dinner)
Day 5: Erg Chebbi Desert Villages, Morocco Deluxe Desert Camp & Sunset Camel Ride
Explore the Merzouga oasis area. The Berber of this region are famous for their striking indigo blue gandoras and turbans. In Merzouga village you visit a local Berber family and share a cup of refreshing mint tea. Returning to your kasbah there is some time to relax before your Morocco holidays immerse you in a night straight out of the pages of a Thousand and One Nights for a magical night under the stars in Morocco at deluxe desert camp. Taking a 4-wheel drive excursion through the lower Erg Chebbi sand dunes you comfortably arrive to your deluxe desert camp on the sand dunes in the heart of Morocco’s beautiful Sahara Desert. Here you meet your local Berber camel guide who will lead you on your camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sun set over the soaring sand dunes. (Client’s prefering not to join the camel ride can relax at the camp or enjoy a stroll in the sand dunes.) Returning to your Morocco deluxe camp, and a highlight of all Morocco tours to this incredible region, tonight you experience the warm hospitality of Morocco’s desert Berber as you relax around the camp fire then enjoy a Berber meal before retiring to your deluxe Berber tent with private ensuite . Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Skoura – Ouarzazate
You can rise early to watch the sunrise over the desert. After breakfast you return by camel to your Merzouga kasbah and refresh before leaving for the scenic Todra Gorge. Continuing west you pass through the High Atlas Mountain Berber town of Boumalne Dades and join the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Your Morocco desert tours ‘ exploration of Road of a Thousand Kasbahs travels through the Roses Valley to the beautiful small oasis village of Skoura and onto the oasis town of Ouarzazate, strategically located on the crossroads of old Trans Saharan camel caravan routes. This area is famous for its many traditional mud kasbahs and oasis villages. Overnight in Ouarzazate kasbah. (Breakfast)
Day 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakesh
Visit the spectacular UNESCO world heritage Ait Benhaddou mud kasbah village, which has some of the Morocco’s most exotic and best preserved kasbahs. Then leaving Morocco’s desert behind, your Morocco travel adventure takes you across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m) as you travel to Marrakesh, the old imperial city known as the Jewel of the South and a highlight of all Morocco tours. Arriving in Marrakesh, escape the bustle of the old medina as you enter the peace of your riad in Marrakesh. Overnight Marrakesh riad. (Breakfast)
Day 8: Marrakesh

Day 11: Essaouira – El Jadida – Casablanca
Returning northward you travel to the historic Atlantic coast town of El Jadida. This UNESCO world heritage site, once a 16th century Portuguese colony is now a popular summer beach holiday destination for Moroccans. Take in the views from the old rampart walls and marvel at the historic subterranean cistern before contining on to Casablanca. Overnight in Casablanca hotel. (Breakfast)
Day 12: Casablanca
