MOROCCO TOUR 3 ITINERARY

Day 1: Marrakech

Morocco tours to Marrakech's Djemaa El-Fna Your Morocco travel adventure begins when you arrive at Marrakech Airport, are met by your Berber Treasures driver guide and are transferred to one of the atmospheric riads in Marrakech.  Overnight in Marrakech riad.

Day 2: Marrakech

Full-day city tour of Marrakech with your expert local Marrakech travel guide.  Your heritage tour of Marrakech explores the city’s stunning past and allows you to immerse yourself in sights, sounds and smells of this captivating city including Marrakech’s UNESCO world heritage designated old walled medina, La Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Madrassa, Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian tombs, Place Djemaa El-Fna Square with it magicians, story tellers and snake charmers and Marrakech’s famous souks and markets.   Overnight in Marrakech riad(Breakfast)

Day 3: MarrakechHigh Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Road of a Thousand Kasbahs – Todra Gorge & Oasis (High Atlas Mountains)Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

Your Berber Treasures Morocco Tours route today takes you through the incredible Moroccan desert area situated between the soaring High Atlas Mountains and rugged Jbel Saghro Mountains.  Travel along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through the Roses Valley to where the  High Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert of Morocco merge – the beautiful Todra Gorge and its lush, extensive oasis.  Continuing eastward through the desert you pass of small desert kasbah villages as your Morocco travel takes you to small desert Berber village of Merzouga situated on the edge of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes of Morocco’s Sahara Desert.  Overnight in Merzouga area kasbah. Day 5: Erg Chebbi Villages, Morocco Desert Camel Ride & Deluxe Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert Camp

The Berber of this area are nomad familes, some still live the traditional nomad lifestyle.   After relaxing at your desert kasbah, in the late afternoon you travel by a 4-wheel drive vehicle to your Morocco deluxe desert camp peacefully located in the eastern wilderness preserved section of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes.  From the camp your local Berber guide will led you on a desert camel ride into the Erg Chebbi sand dunes to watch the sun setting over the magnificent desert landscape or choose to enjoy the sunset from the camp if you don’t wish to take the camel ride.  Tonight is spent camping under the stars in a deluxe Berber tent with private ensuite at your desert camp in the heart of the Moroccan Sahara Desert – a highlight of Morocco desert tours.  Overnight camping in deluxe Berber tents in desert – Morocco deluxe camp. Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Boumalne Dades – Dades Gorge (High Atlas Mountains)

Overnight Dades Gorge kasbah. (Breakfast)

Day 7: Dades Gorge –  Skoura – Ait Benhaddou

Leaving Dades Gorge make your way along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through Roses Valley to the beautful oasis village of Skoura where you can find historic old mud kasbahs set among the date palm and almond groves.  Next you travel to Morocco ‘s unforgettable UNESCO world heritage designated ksar village of Ait Benhaddou comprised of many of Morocco’s best preserved fortified mud kasbah castles – a must on all Morocco travel itineraries to the Sahara Desert.  This incredible area has featured in films including Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia.  Overnight Ait Benhaddou area kasbah. Day 8: High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Marrakech Bahia Palace - Berber Treasures Morocco tours of Morocco Your Morocco desert travels end as you reenter the western region of the High Atlas Mountains following an old camel caravan route into the scenic Ounila Valley toward the High Atlas Mountain Village of Telouet. Recrossing the beautiful High Atlas Mountain area as you return to Marrakech. Arriving in the mid-afternoon you have some free time; enjoy some leisure time at your Marrakech riads roof top terrace or visit some of Marrakech’s famous gardens, wind you way through Marrakech’s souks and markets marvelling at the exotic goods and wares, relax in a hammam and enjoy the colourful night life in Djemma El-Fna Plaza or taste some of the delicious Marrakechi cusine. Overnight in Marrakech riad. (Breakfast)

Day 9: Marrakech

Your Morocco travel adventure comes to a close with your transfer to Marrakech Airport.   Tour ends.  (Breakfast)
