“Yes, really sad to leave Morocco. What a great country to visit, and what great people to meet. This country should be high on every traveller/tourists lists of must-visit countries, and they should do it, without question, with Berber Treasures.
The country has just so much to offer – history emphasised so dramaticaly by the Roman ruins – such incredibly diverse landscapes – a Berber culture to be admired – the friendliness of the people themselves – and within a country which is a great credit to King Mohammed VI and his administration. As for Berber Treasures – CONGRATULATIONS and THANKS to you and your crew in Morocco for giving us one of our best travel experiences. I always felt safe and he was really helpful and accommodating. On the second last day when I wanted to go to the Jardin Majorelle he managed to fit it into the programme and also I got there before the large queues developed. The accommodation was excellent- the riads were particularly lovely and the overnight stay in the luxury desert camp was truly magical. I was blown away by the scenery. “How do you put ‘Morocco’ into words? The atmosphere of ancient souks, rows of brilliantly coloured spices, mules with their heavy cargo competing with motorbikes for space on the road, camels walking majestically through the silent desert at sunset, the smell of leather bags hanging in bazaars, sweet, hot mint tea poured from ornate silver teapots, elaborate and breathtaking mosaics, narrow dusty alleyways opening onto opulent riads’, delicious steaming tagines, stunning lanterns, calls to prayer echoing through the warm nights across ancient cities and the delicious hot coffee served every morning with beaming smile……… This was Morocco and more. I travelled to Morocco alone and was a bit worried. I needn’t have been. I had the most wonderful time and never felt unsafe once in this impossibly beautiful country. My guide Abdel made me feel welcome immediately. He was a very safe and careful driver and had an extensive knowledge of this amazing place. He was punctual and reliable also which is very important. Thank you Berber Tours and Abdel for taking me on the holiday of a lifetime. I would recommend Berber Tours to anyone!

- Firstly, I would like to say that I would ( and already have) recommend Berber treasures to my friends for a trip to Morocco. I had a great time.
- You should probably give Mo (our driver) a pay rise. What a great ambassador for your company!! Nothing was too much hassle for him, and he was also very professional, courteous and friendly. He was a great driver in terms of navigating the traffic and we always felt safe with his driving. But we have already advised him
that he is not such a good singer ! J ( I have him on file singing but its 61MB and wont email!) I could not recommend Mo highly enough. - The accommodation provided was excellent, with standouts being Fes and Ouarzazate….
A fascinating and diverse country, with a new twist at every turn. Something every day made me rethink my perceptions. All in all I had a great time. I would highly recommend both Morocco and Berber Treasures. Any thanks for a great holiday”

“I am starting this as we are preparing to leave Morocco. We would like to thank you for a great experience. Morocco has a lot going for it, landscape, architecture, history, and craft. However I think ones of the best parts has been the people. There are always extremes but generalising they have a wonderful sense of humour and treat each other with some care. We are leaving with a very high regard for Morocco and its people. We had Abdelatif as our driver and I don’t know what your other drivers are like but he is extraordinary. As a driver he is brilliant. I dislike being driven but felt much more confident with him than if I had been driving myself in Australia. His English was excellent and we had some wonderful conversations that would have been difficult with native English speakers. His command of other languages which he used to our benefit was also impressive. He was more than punctual and did everything to help us. We could not fault him. Apart from that he is a very fine human being. His attitude to his fellows was fantastic… Apart from commending Abdel we would particularly like to thank you. Meeting you [in your Sydney office] and how you dealt with us before the trip [] gave us confidence and the trip has lived up to more than our hopes. We had everything clearly explained and things happened as they were predicted…as we have said we have left Morocco hoping we could get back sometime and will recommend you to anyone who is interested in travelling there. ”

“We have been back for a while and meaning to send you an email. We enjoyed our time in Morocco and our driver (Brahim) was very good. We now understand the “family” Berber structure as you told us about during our initial enquiries. During our travels we got to experience things that the average traveller may not get to do… The whole trip was excellent and the city tour guides were very knowledgable also. As you know I asked lots of questions before booking but can now say your company did a great job and would be happy to recommend your services to all! I had a different picture in mind- Morocco is …not all desert (I pictured it being similar to Dubia- how wrong was I!!) it was a great suprise to discover something different every day- one day in the medina in Fes watching the craftsmen, then the drive over the middle Atlas through []tree covered mountains to descend on the other side and arrive on the edge of great Sand dunes near Merzouga and then a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi desert!! All the accommodation was wonderful… We would however like to say thanks for a great and memorable experience! Well thats enough for now- a couple of photos attached.”

”We had a great trip to Morocco, your itinerary was spot on , the imperial cities of Fez and Marrakech were both mystical and fascinating ( Casablanca as you advised was of least interest) , Essaouira was well worth visiting , lovely riad there too. The Sahara desert experience was unique and we are very glad that you encouraged us to do the overnight desert excursion. The country side was incredibly diverse, just so worthwhile seeing it. ”Jan and I arrived home today. Thank you for organising our trip. We had a wonderful trip thanks to your advice and organising. Abdel did a very conscientious job and drove us very safely, providing good guidance and care along the way. The desert camp experience… Interesting experience…Spectacular dune formation, orange coloured sand… Good food…. the Gheris valley from Amellago to Tatattchoute was spectacular with some cliffside dwellings, small towns and narrow green strip along the river.. Fun walk in the town with local kids everywhere …Another great tagine meal. …Todra Gorge was spectacular with 300 m high cliffs… a spectacular drive up the valley of the Dades River into the Dades Gorge… then a serious off road track to the west to the M’Gouna valley. Stopped on the way at a nomad camp where a family of 8 live in a cave and some tents … the grandfather … was resting in the cool cave where his daughter in law made us oregano based tea ( heaps of sugar)…We all enjoyed the encounter…Down the very picturesque valley to El K’elaa [and] the valley of roses … to an isolated luxury place …near Ouarzazate where we enjoyed a swim … Sumptuous rooms … on the edge of a lake [near] a villa owned by the King…we crossed the spectacular [High Atlas Mountain] pass Tizi n’Tichka at 2200 m …into the head of the Ourika Valley for a real surprise… fabulous …could easily have stayed longer than one night…the [Essaouira] riad was…stunningly delightful…[Marrakech]: Fabulous guide and the magnificent Majorelle gardens…”

We enjoyed the half day tour of Marrakech and the guide Mohamed was very informative.…One night in Essaouira was probably too short … and maybe … an extra night in Ourika. Having travelled extensively independently, Berber Treasures made us realise how good it is to have the concerns of finding transport and accommodation as well as what to see taken from our hands. That said, we still had the flexibility to make decisions should we wish to. Mohammed our driver/guide was terrific and gave us an insight into Moroccan life that we would otherwise not have experienced. For Chris and I (and I’m sure I speak for Deb and Margaret as well) it was all the little extras that made the difference – by that I mean the rustic character of the Riads, the charm of the Sahara experience, the knowledge and friendliness of the guides etc, etc. Moh was a fabulous guide. He has a wonderful sense of humour and made us feel as though nothing was too much trouble. He was also open and willing to share so much about himself and his country which made us feel as though we got a taste of the real Morocco. We especially enjoyed the opportunity to eat a home cooked meal in some real Moroccan homes. Morocco is a very interesting country and different to other places I have been to. Marrakesh was a very busy city and the medina of Fes was huge. I was very glad we had a guide to take us through it. We still would have been trying to find our way out without one!!! Essaouira was not as fast paced as Marrakesh and a great place to relax for a few days. We enjoyed sitting on the wall at the beach eating our ice cream and watching the local guys play soccer.
